Accessibility Statement

This statement was last updated on 10/01/2026.

We at Jupiter Dance and Performing Arts are working to make our site jupiterdpa.com accessible to all.

What web accessibility is

An accessible site allows visitors with disabilities to browse the site with the same or a similar level of ease and enjoyment as other visitors. This can be achieved with the capabilities of the system on which the site is operating, and through assistive technologies.

Accessibility adjustments on this site

We have designed and adapted this website in accordance with WCAG 2.1 guidelines and have achieved accessibility to the level of AA. The content has been created to work with assistive technologies, including screen readers, keyboard navigation, and other accessibility tools. Text is clear and readable, images include descriptive alt text, and navigation is consistent and intuitive across all pages. We aim to provide an inclusive online experience and continuously review the site to improve accessibility.

  • Used the Accessibility Wizard to find and fix potential accessibility issues

  • Set the language of the site

  • Set the content order of the site’s pages

  • Defined clear heading structures on all of the site’s pages

  • Added alternative text to images

  • Implemented color combinations that meet the required color contrast

  • Reduced the use of motion on the site

  • Ensured all videos, audio, and files on the site are accessible

Declaration of partial compliance with the standard due to third-party content [only add if relevant]

The accessibility of certain pages on this site depends on content that does not belong to Jupiter Dance & Performing Arts. Specifically, our uniform ordering pages, which are linked through Amazon, are affected. We therefore declare partial compliance with accessibility standards for these pages.

Accessibility arrangements in the organization [only add if relevant]

Jupiter Dance & Performing Arts is committed to ensuring that our classes, events, and facilities are welcoming and accessible to all students and visitors. Our accessibility arrangements include:

  • Parking and Arrival: Where available, we provide accessible parking spaces close to the main entrance. For venues without dedicated parking, we advise parents and carers to use nearby accessible parking areas or public transport options.

  • Public Transport: We encourage the use of public transport, and venues are chosen where possible for their accessibility via local buses or trains.

  • Entrances and Access: Main entrances to our halls and studios are step-free or have ramps where possible. Doorways are wide enough to accommodate wheelchairs and mobility aids.

  • Classrooms / Studios: Dance studios and classrooms are designed to be safe and navigable, with clear floor space, non-slip flooring, and unobstructed pathways. Furniture is arranged to allow wheelchair access where applicable.

  • Facilities: Where available, accessible toilets are provided within the venue. Handrails and support aids are in place to assist users as needed.

  • Support for Students: Staff are trained to provide assistance and make reasonable adjustments for students with disabilities. This may include modified exercises, additional supervision, or adapted teaching methods.

  • Communication & Accessories: Information about classes, schedules, and events is available in print and digitally. Staff can provide additional support for students who require verbal instructions or other accessibility adaptations.

We welcome feedback on accessibility and encourage parents, carers, and students to contact us ahead of classes to discuss any specific requirements.
