About Us

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

At Jupiter Dance & Performing Arts (JDPA), we believe every student deserves the opportunity to shine.

Based in Lanner and Perranwell, Cornwall, JDPA provides high-quality performing arts training for children and young people aged 3–18, alongside bi-monthly adult dance classes which raise money for charity. We offer classes in dance, singing, drama and musical theatre, with pathways for recreational students, examination candidates, competition performers and those looking to explore future careers within the creative industries. We also offer GCSE Dance and GCSE Drama preparation classes, which can begin up to a year before students start their courses in school, helping them develop confidence, knowledge and key skills before their formal studies begin.

Founded by Eve Brazier, JDPA was created from a passion for making performing arts training accessible, inspiring and inclusive for all. Having worked across both dance education and mainstream schooling, Eve recognised the importance of creating an environment where students feel safe, supported and encouraged to achieve their full potential. Trained through the British Theatre Dance Association (BTDA) and the University of Worcester, and continuing professional development through the ISTD, Eve combines specialist performing arts training with a strong understanding of child development and education. With over eight years of dance teaching experience and five years working within schools, her vision for JDPA is simple: to create a place where students can develop confidence, creativity and technical excellence while feeling genuinely valued as individuals.

Everything we do is centred around helping young people grow both on and off the stage. Our approach is underpinned by trauma-informed practice, recognising that students learn best when they feel safe, understood and able to take positive risks in their learning. While our training is rooted in strong technical foundations, we place equal importance on building confidence, resilience, teamwork, leadership and communication skills that students can carry with them throughout their lives.

We strive for excellence in all forms and recognise that success looks different for every student. For some, that may mean performing on stage, working towards examinations or competing as part of a team. For others, it may involve developing leadership skills, training as future teachers, exploring textiles and costume design, supporting productions behind the scenes or gaining experience in stage direction and the wider creative industries. Whatever their goals, students are encouraged to challenge themselves, celebrate their achievements and discover where their passions can take them.

At JDPA, every student matters, every achievement is celebrated and every dream is taken seriously. Whether a student joins us to make friends, learn new skills, pursue qualifications, perform, compete or explore future opportunities, we are committed to supporting them every step of the way. The future is limitless for JDPA students, and we can't wait to be part of their journey.
